Building a strong activist volunteer base is crucial to any people powered campaign. This DFA Training Academy session will focus on ways to recruit additional volunteers to your cause and keep them active. We will also discuss how to develop your best volunteers into ‘super-volunteers’ who can take positions of leadership on a campaign.

Netroots Nation 2008 will feature a spectacular 26,000-square-foot Exhibit Hall centrally located near all the action. The Exhibit Hall will include interactive displays from non-profit progressive organizations and corporate sponsors eager to connect with the progressive community. We will also reprise the successful convention bookstore featuring book signings from progressive authors. We invite you to join us.

We encourage Netroots Nation attendees to get to know other attendees from their states. A bulletin board will be set up near the information desk, where individuals can post locations for these self-organized sessions. Attendees are encouraged to meet with their caucus groups at a local restaurant.

What’s your campaign’s story? This DFA Campaign Academy session will focus on how to turn a candidate’s personal history and positions into a compelling and memorable message. We’ll also spend some time looking at how candidates can draw effective contrasts with their opponents on a campaign using campaign ads developed by the award winning media consulting firm FRCR.
